What to look for
The thing to evaluate is the monitoring, not the marketing. Ask how often they retest, which markers they follow beyond the hormone itself, and what their protocol is if a marker moves the wrong way. A clinic that tests once, prescribes, and does not recheck for a year is not managing anything.
For men, ask specifically about haematocrit, PSA, and oestradiol monitoring on testosterone therapy. For women, ask how they handle the difference between symptom relief and supraphysiological dosing, and whether they follow current menopause society guidance.
Pellets are convenient and they are also the hardest delivery method to adjust once implanted. If a clinic offers only pellets, ask what happens if your dose turns out to be wrong in month two.
