Differential Diagnosis
The process a clinician uses to distinguish between multiple possible conditions that could explain the same symptoms, typically narrowed down through history, exam, and testing. This is fundamentally a clinical judgment process, which is why an AI's best guess from a text description of symptoms is not equivalent to a differential diagnosis performed by a physician.
